THE SIMA'S WORLD

Hello! Today I'd like to show you how I take care of Sima's hygeine and keep him clean.

What procedures he likes or can't stand.

This is our bedside table with all the morning supplies:

toothbrush, scissors, saliva ejector and sippy cup with water.

Sima, does not like this procedure either, but most likely he simply does not understand it.

One more unpleasant procedure, we clean ears and a nose.

Sima's fingernails grow very fast, I cut them in a day! I calm myself, that it's because of good nutrition.

When Sima lies like this on my bed, I always undress him to panties for taking air baths.

Now the massage. I'll tell you about coconut oil.

I keep a large bank in the fridge, and sometimes I full this one which is smaller. It's always ready at hand.

She has very dry skin. Earlier I used Johnson's Baby oil, then I bought an expensive emolium cream, it run out in a week!

Now I use only coconut oil. It somehow perfectly suited Sima.

I pat him lightly, I smear with coconut oil, I knead fingers, hands and legs and I do an easy light therapy.

which was all about the future of skills and learning.

This month, we're talking about well-being, a really, really important topic.

It's so important, that you've got to take care of your mind and your life and your

lifestyle to have a healthy work/life balance.

Something that I've actually struggled with and I'll go into it a little bit later on

in the vlog.

Now, I should probably practice what I preach, right?

Welcome to Mauritius, a teeny, tiny island nation off of the Indian Ocean!

I hope you enjoyed that Sega music in the intro.

This month I don't have a usual vlog that you're used to seeing.

This month I'm in lovely Mauritius with my family for three wonderful weeks.

So, this month's topic is around wellness, and wellness is something I've really struggled

with, in particular, the work/life balance and that's because I come from this way

of working where I constantly need to prove myself.

In the UK, where I obviously am based, I went through the UK education system and that meant

that I went to college, I got my GNVQ in ICT, but I didn't go to University, I didn't

get a degree.

I went into full time work and I joined Pearson, just over 11 years ago, and you know, for

me, not going through that education system and going to University meant that I felt

like I had a lot to prove.

So, when the time came, when the projects came, when the courses came, the training

came, I was like, "Yep, yep, yep, I'll do it, I'll do it, I'll do it."

And what that meant was that I didn't look after myself, I just kept working, trying

to prove myself, making sure that people loved my work and loved what I did.

And I think that was quite difficult, I think that's not really sustainable, I struggled

with my work/life balance.

Over the course of the last couple of years, it's taken me that long to get better at

saying no and turning off and trying to have a bit of a home life.

And over the last maybe eight months, I've been making sure that I switch off at 5 o'clock,

and I head to the gym for a couple of hours, because that's my happy place, I enjoy working

out and my team know that I enjoy working out, so they are super supportive and super

flexible and make sure that I do log off at 5 o'clock and I do have my gym time.

And then if I want to, my choice, but if I want to, after the gym I can check my mobile

and check my emails and just you know, have a little looksee, but I don't have to and

I've learnt that, I've learnt that over time that I don't need to work so much and

need to prove myself so much.

So, it's something that I'm working on; I'm a work in progress, I'm not perfect,

no one is, but I'm getting better at it through the support of Pearson and my team.

Enough about my well-being and my work/life balance.

I want to show you a little bit of Mauritius, so cue the montage!

All you need to know about A Level results day - your grades and what to do next - Duration: 5:53.

</form> Thousands of students will today find out their A-Level results. And while many hoping to go to a chosen university or college will get the grades they need, others will inevitably be left disappointed

If you're one of them, it's vital to remember that you still have options. If you just miss out on your grades, your firm choice might decide to accept you anyway - or you may have made it into your insurance choice

Alternatively, the clearing system may help you find a place - or you might want to consider another route to work, like vocational training

Results day can be stressful - for students, parents and teachers. Here's how to negotiate the tricky path of it

When is results day? This year's - Thursday, August 16. Students in England, Wales and Northern Ireland will finally discover what grades they have got

What time do A-Level results come out? University and college decisions will be added to the Track feature of UCAS at 8am today

Students won't be able view their results at that point, but they will be able to see whether they have been accepted to their university of choice

What are A-Levels? A-Levels are subject-based qualifications that are assessed by exams

You typically need to have achieved at least five GCSEs at grades A* to C to take them, including at least a B grade in the subject you wish to study

Most students study three or more A-Levels over a two-year period, according to the UCAS website

What degrees can you do with A-Levels? A-Level qualifications can lead to university or college

However, some degree courses specify certain A-Level subjects that students need to have studied - and the grades they must have achieved

For example, students hoping to embark on a biology degree may be required to have an A-Level in biology, as well as another science or maths

What else can I do with my A-Levels? A-Level students may also wish to go on to do training or work

The qualifications are valued by employers because they show "a good level of education", according to UCAS

What do I do on results day? Although you might feel like you've been waiting all summer for today - some of you with dread - it's remarkable how quickly everything unfolds

The best thing to do is get to school early with all the details you might need

Go armed with information about your module results as well as GCSE grades, your UCAS Clearing number and UCAS personal ID

I've opened my results - what happens now? The first thing to do is check UCAS's online tracking system where you can see how your application is progressing

UCAS can't speak to anyone else about your application details - unless you've given them nominated access to speak on your behalf

My grades are much better than expected - what do I do? If you had a conditional firm offer you met and exceeded, you might be curious about courses with higher entry requirements

If so, you can see what's available in the UCAS Adjustment Service. My grades are not exactly what I need, but still OK - what next? Hopefully you'll get the grades you need, but if you just miss out, the university or college of your choice might accept you anyway

You might get a place on either your firm or insurance choice, depending how well your exams go

You might be offered an alternative by the university/college – a 'changed course offer' (which you'll need to accept or decline)

You might not get a place, but you can search through the Clearing service to see what courses still have vacancies

If no decisions are showing, give your universities or colleges a call to find out more

My grades are a massive letdown - what now? If you search through the Clearing service you'll see what courses still have vacancies

Find out about exam re-marks – you'll need to try to arrange the re-mark as quickly as possible, and keep in touch with your university or college to keep them up-to-date

If you can't see anything suitable in Clearing, you could look into other options – like a gap year, work or an apprenticeship – either instead of higher education, or just while you reapply for next year

I've got a plan, what happens next? Congratulations! Your confirmation letter should appear in Track five to seven days after your place is confirmed

Your letter is not emailed or posted to you. The key things to remember Look at all your options and don't be afraid to consider an alternative route that you may not have thought of before

Research all your options carefully - university isn't the only route to success

Don't sit back - get involved in whatever you're doing. Be prepared to work hard

Keep an eye out for opportunities - you never know where they may come from.

C'est par un communiqué mis en ligne sur les réseaux sociaux mercredi 15 août que ceux qui se présentent comme des "jeunes de gauche" (sans autre précision) ont annoncé le lancement à venir du site, destiné à devenir "le premier média participatif de la gauche nouvelle

" A l'origine de ce projet? La lassitude et la déception après les nombreuses passes d'armes au sein du "Média" co-fondé par Sophia Chikirou, Gérard Miller et Henri Poulain

Depuis la création de la web télé, nombreux sont les membres de la rédaction à avoir quitté le navire après des brouilles internes

Sophia Chikirou, l'ancienne directrice de publication de la chaîne est d'ailleurs directement accusée d'avoir fait "sombrer" Le Média "à cause de (ses) turpitudes

" "L'expérience 'Le Média est malheureusement vouée à l'échec en raison de l'égoïsme et de la malhonnêteté de quelques un", regrettent les auteurs du communiqué, qui promettent un projet "mieux administré" et plus transparent, notamment sur les questions financières

Le séminaire d'été du Média, "une catastrophe" Dernière illustration des difficultés internes du Média? Le séminaire d'été de la rédaction, qui s'est déroulé au mois d'août

Alexis Poulin, qui intervient sur le site, s'est d'ailleurs fendu d'un tweet à la fois amusé et désabusé, s'excusant auprès de "ses amis socios"

NEW ink Smooching Technique & Artist Trading Coins #4 - Duration: 11:53.

Hi I'm Gerry from Gerry's Craft Room and welcome to my channel

in today's I'm going to show you a new take on the ink smooching technique

you've seen it perhaps with the plastic sheet and water and you apply the ink on your

project but sometimes not quite like or where you want it

so I thought what if I use something smaller

so I came up with the ink blending tool and a piece of plastic wrap around it

you still have that plastic like with the sheet which gives a fun effect that you can't

totally control but you can place it a bit better and also

on small parts or pieces I mist the plastic with water and then pick

up some ink and press it on the paper

and just like with regular smooching you keep adding colour until you like the result

I have my ink on an acrylic block so it's easy to pick up

in the beginning I had water on the block too you don't need that

just mist the plastic that works better clean the plastic in between colours and then

go on with the next colour

and then the dauber with plastic wrap was a logical next step

especially with these artist trading coins this my fourth take on these fun mini projects

the coins are 2,5 inch or 6.3 centimeter it's

a great size to use for some fun techniques smaller would be well very small and bigger

then it would almost be a card so I'd say give these coins a try, I'm

I do the same as with the blending tool, just

mist the dauber and pick up the colour and apply it to your paper

now I'm using my dauber to stamp some circles

some splats with black gesso straight from the jar

and adding more black with a cotton tip and the Back of a skewer

I'm adding a bundle of white thread for some fun texture

and I have some cog wheels I coloured pink and I add some gold along the edges

I glued black paper behind the wheels to make them stand out more

and some sentiments to finish my coins I like using one theme for the coins

but they can also go separately
