I want to tell everyone your story,

-You were born in Vietnam?

-Yes, I was.

-And then you were adopted by an American family?

-Yes. -And where did you grow up?

-I grew up -- I grew up everywhere.

I'm like a nomad.

So, my parents brought me to Chicago,

and then to Washington State where I lived on Whidbey Island,

which, I don't know if you're familiar with it,

but Whidbey Island is a farm island.

[ Laughter ]

-Now, Whidbey Island? -Whidbey Island. Yes.

-It's a farm island? -Yes.

-As in it "would be" a farm if it were not on an island?

[ Laughter ]

-There you go. -Very nice.

You said it was a farm island. What does that mean?

-Yeah, well, it was just -- I grew up with a bunch of horses

and I grew up with animals and just --

it's like we're all hippies on the island,

and so now whenever I go back, they're like, "How did you --

from here to -- now you're doing this?"

-Yeah, exactly. How did you do that? Yeah.

-I don't know. I think I just got really lucky.

-No. You worked hard.

Well, when did -- How did you get into acting?

-Well, I was a dancer for most of my childhood,

and then one day I realized --

like, my dad put me into a drama class.

And I realized like, "Oh, I can entertain people with my words,

and not just, like, moving around."

-Yeah. [ Laughter ]

-Which was mind-blowing. -That's great.

They're good supportive parents.

-Yeah. Really, really supportive.

-Let's just talk about just last year.

Because I think -- I knew of you,

but "To All the Boys I've Loved Before" was a smash.

A giant hit thing. [ Cheers and applause ]

Phenomenon. It still is this giant, growing, massive thing.

-Yeah.

-Did life just change for you overnight with Netflix?

-It did. It really did.

We premiered the show, and then I woke up the next morning,

and my phone was just, like, blowing up.

-Wow. -And I checked on my Instagram.

There was like millions of followers.

And in my head I can only think of

that is one million human beings.

Just lined up in a row, holding hands around the world.

-Holding hands around the world.

-Right, and, like, that's all I could think of in my mind.

It was crazy. -A great thing to think about.

Yeah, of course. -Yeah.

-And Noah Centineo. -Yeah.

-You guys, I mean, hit it off. [ Cheers and applause ]

You guys have great chemistry. -Yeah.

-But you said -- you said, you set early boundaries with Noah.

-I did.

We had just come back from a hot yoga class,

and we went to his apartment and we ordered pizza.

And it's kind of like, "Oh, hot yoga, pizza?

What's happening?"

It was right before we shot the movie.

-Just trying to get to know each other?

-Just getting to know each other.

-And did you feel something? -And I felt something.

And then, so we went like this and I looked at him.

I was like, "Noah.

It's not gonna happen between us."

[ Laughter ] -Really?

-Yeah, because I felt that for the show to do well,

we had to be best-friend professionals,

and so I was like, "It's just not gonna happen."

He's just like, "Yeah, it's not gonna happen."

And I was like, "Great."

So we kind of did what we did in "To All the Boys" the movie.

We kind of, like, made a contract and set boundaries,

and then -- I'm so happy that we did that

because the movie turned out great

and now we're doing a sequel, so I have to work with him again.

So imagine. [ Cheers and applause ]

-Wait, so -- but -- you still might have that spark?

-We still have the spark. Yeah, absolutely.

We were just on the phone the other day,

just talking about the sequel.

Okay.

-Just saying, you guys were on the phone and --

[ Laughter ]

-But, yeah. He's great.

-The books are -- There's three of them.

Is that correct? -Yeah.

-So, if the sequel does well, then you do the third one.

-That would be amazing, yeah.

-Then after the third one, you really fall in love.

[ Laughter ]

I want to talk about your -- this new show on SyFy.

-Yes. -"Deadly Class."

I think it's a brilliant idea.

-Uh-huh.

-Do you want to explain what it's about?

-Yeah. So "Deadly Class" is basically --

It's based off of the graphic novel.

"Deadly Class" written by Rick Remender,

and it's basically about a academy

that has all of the children of various gangs and syndicates,

all the children go to that academy.

-Yeah, like assassins. The children of assassins.

-Yeah. Yeah, and so we just kind of learn --

-Definitely different from "To All the Boys."

-Yes. Yes. No, Lara Jean -- she wouldn't make it.

She wouldn't make it at King's Dominion.

-It's action-packed. -Yeah.

-And this is the Russo brothers? -Yeah, the Russo brothers.

-Who did "Captain America" films, and --

-Of course.

And they're amazing because they are making our show

so action-packed, and the choreography and the fighting

is very, very realistic and amazing.

So they're really supportive of it,

and they've been working really hard on our show,

and I'm really excited for it to come out.

It's coming out on January 16th. -On SyFy. We're all gonna watch.

Greetings and welcome to Busy B. from Germany dear fellow collectors. Today

Raquelle gets a new skirt. She has lost hers somehow on her way to me. Now she's

freezing and it's cold outside. She told me that it's her wish for Christmas to

get a new skirt. Dhe told me that she had dreamt on her life from a skirt but

never got one. She found some rests from fabrics looked at them and

imagined how it would be to have a skirt made out of this special fabric.

Poor Raquel how could I have not helped her? At first I needed her measurements

for on this skirt so I had to undress her. Beware of naked Raquel ... no I'm just

kidding. We need three measurements the hips, the

waist and the difference between the waist and the hips. For your hip measures

you use a string and put it around the widest part of her hips when the ends meet

each other you cut the piece off. I have already

prepared it. For the waist measurements you use the narrowest part of the hips

of the waist. It's not so easy when you have only two hands. The next measurement

is the length between the waist and the hip. We need this measurement for our

darts. Okay I have already measured it and now I

give you the details. By the way you can see the last measurements later again. I

have to know the measurements so that I can make one dimensional pattern for

three dimensional body. Now I have all my measurements and I'm writing them down for you so

that you can see what I have measured. I hope you understand what I write down. I

use centimeters as measurements since I live in Germany. Time for the next

measurement. That's for the hip. It's not so easy because the string has its own

between hip and waist of Raquelle. We use a simple subtraction the hip measurement minus

the waist measurement we need the difference for our darts. Your darts

depend on this size. The higher the number is the more darts you could insert

and the smaller the individual darts are. We need to know this number for the

lengths of our darts. It tells you how long the darts are later on. I use my

ruler for the reading of number again. For me this is one of the easiest

methods. Of course I'm going to show you the number too. Give me a sec to write it

down for you. Now that I have all numbers we can start

with the sewing pattern itself but we need to know one more measurement. I need

to know how long the skirt should be. I want a skirt with knee length that's

where my ten point five centimeters come from. You may ask yourself hey where's

our hip number and where's our waist number. the Hip number is the width of

the pattern the waist waist measurement is not included yet. It's in your pattern

when you have added all the darts. I added one centimeter for the waist since I

want the skirt to sit very high in the waist so from two point two centimeters

it becomes three point two centimeters. I modified the pattern a bit and the

I started this course on a bit of a whim.

I've been chasing my tail for several years going from debt, out of debt, into debt

but mainly the constant has been being in debt and

I just sort of thought okay, enough, so what I found is

one of the tools was to look at how much

it costs me to run my life and

I collected all of these receipts for a whole month and I went through them and I was actually really

surprised at how much money I spend on on

groceries and things, so it gave me an idea then of

how much I needed to be bringing in to make sure all of this was covered.

It's almost surprising me but really everything has changed for me and I have got to that place where I'm not

relying on my savings and where I'm like, okay, what can I create here? What can I choose here?

What more can I add in and just really really seeing that space of

how all the time I have to be creating more or I think what I've done in the past is really strongly

not had enough going on and used the extra sort of omph from going to Access classes

to kind of create that. So it's made me super aware of that and has given me the tools to change that

but really

over these times I've had I think I can't be remember now. I think at the beginning of the year

I had my best month ever in terms of money and

actually

September/October. I think in October I doubled what I'd created up until then.

Thank you Simone for all these talks that you had with us throughout the year that made me realize that

I do deserve to be paid and I deserve money to come to my life easily,

joyfully, and I can still be the great doctor that I am and enjoy treating people and at the same time receive amounts of money

that make my life happier, easier and more fun.

Also the other I learned and accepted that money doesn't only have to come from my work

But I can receive it from all different places

And I've been discovering all the fun places that I can get money from and I'm enjoying having money in my life.

Even touching money was a taboo for me because it was not hygienic.

So I didn't like to touch the paper of money and now I just love to touch it, to feel it, to smell it,

to have it around me. So it's really been a transformation in my life, and I'm extremely grateful for that

and I know that there's so much more that I can still change and do and that's why I'm taking the second year of

Getting Out Of Debt Joyfully for 2019, and I'm really excited about what else is going to be created. Thank you

Aloha everyone! it's Lynn with iHula Hawaii, bringing the hula of Hawaii to you.

In today's video I have a hula along for an alternative version of "Hanalei Moon."

Now this is one of the very first video series that I did so if you're

just tuning in and just starting with the hula go ahead and watch the video

and see what this hula looks like but go back and learn the step-by-step

instructions. I'll go ahead and link those videos below.

In this version of "Hanalei Moon" the recording artist is "Hui Ohana." It is a male trio.

It's a different sound of "Hanalei Moon" and a very popular version that we use here in the islands.

Now the purpose of doing your hula to more than one version is to build upon

your hula skills to stretch your abilities and also give you a variety of

hula songs to use. Now the arrangement of this version of "Hanalei Moon" begins with

the "hui" - the chorus and then we'll go into the verse repeat the Hui again and

do our ending. This version of "Hanalei Moon" is much shorter than the first so

let's go ahead and hula along together. Don't forget, I'm dancing mirror image so

just follow along with me. Let's get started.
